Outstanding paper feeding delivers reliable batch scanning regardless of the document condition:
The new scanners allow the user to scan a wide variety of paper thicknesses (27 to 413g/m2), as well as plastic cards with the same feeding mechanism inherited from our high-end models. In addition, Paper Protection constantly checks along the whole document length during scanning and automatically stops paper feeding when error occurs to avoid any damage to the document. All in all these deliver the reliable scanning experience expected from Fujitsu.
-Efficient – scan diverse paper documents supported by class leading technology
-Compact – desktop and countertop placement allows for immediate document capture and transaction
-Automatic – from analogue to digital can be as simple as pressing the user panel buttons
-Intuitive – PaperStream Capture and PaperStream IP for high performance scanning of multiple documents at the same time and image clean up.
Reliable Skew Reducer even when scanning a mixed size batch:
The fi-7240 automatically detect the document size when scanning a mixed size batch. Furthermore, it is equipped with Skew Reducer to detect the alignment of scanned documents and correct paper skews to minimise missing the edge of the scanned image. Users can rest assured that the result will be good even when scanning documents that are not aligned correctly.
Fast scanning right at your desk:
The Fujitsu fi-7240 scans at a speed of 40 pages per minute (A4, colour, 200/300 dpi). Simply press the scan button and it will start scanning within a second. Scanning with the fi-7240 will not keep you, or your customers, waiting.
Scan brochures and other small booklets:
The fi-7240 has a built-in flatbed (glass surface) that is able to scan thin documents or thick books which are impossible to scan using an ADF scanner.
Enhanced mixed document batch operation and continuous interrupted scanning:
Outstanding paper feeding is at the core of these scanners and they are able to scan mixed batches with thicknesses from 27 to 413g/m2. To help protect the original document, a paper protection function monitors document movement and automatically stops feeding when any irregularities are detected.
For mixed batch scanning where documents of different sizes, shapes, surface characteristics and paper thicknesses are grouped and processed together, the “skew reducer” roller mechanism supports feeding physically skewed documents within the batch, minimising the skew effect this document might otherwise force on subsequent sheets. This ensures that each document is captured with the utmost precision and simplicity and ensures any documents are not crumpled or damaged.
Both scanner models additionally feature an ultrasonic sensor that accurately detects multiple paper layers where two or more sheets are fed through the scanner at once.
The Intelligent Multifeed Function allows document scan parameters to be applied which enable the sensors to be set up to help identify and subsequently ignore purposely placed attachments such as sticky notes or items with a photo attached that would otherwise cause disruptions to the scanning process.
Automatically creates the most suitable high quality image data for OCR process:
The PaperStream IP scanner driver, which supports TWAIN/ISIS, saves the inconvenience of fine adjusting the settings for the OCR process. It automatically converts the images into exceptionally clean images, accelerating OCR even when scanning wrinkled or soiled documents or documents with a background pattern.
Designed to fit:
The Fujitsu fi-7240 are designed to introduce seamless document capture routines to organisations and expand them into workgroups and departments. Easy set-up, intuitive use and hassle-free maintenance with replaceable consumables and unhindered cleaning routines characterise these robust scanners.
Set to fit:
Define information handling routines and mimic paper based processes with PaperStream Capture. Then associate these routines with the intuitive user panel on the scanner’s front and trigger them instantly whenever sets of relevant documents need to be captured.
Integrated flatbed for even greater scanning potential:
The Fujitsu fi-7240 model features an ultra-fast built-in flatbed module that enables the scanning of diverse documents types such as those that may be bound, stapled or delicate.
Management from a single location:
Scanner Central Admin software enable Fujitsu scanners to be managed and maintained from a single location to minimise scanner downtime anywhere on the global system.
Option: Black Document Pad:
Attach the Black Document Pad to the flatbed to make scans with a black background. This enables the scanner to apply image processing like size detection and skew correction to a document scanned with the flatbed so that the resulting image data is properly sized to the orginal.
Option: Carrier Sheets:
Carrier Sheets allow you to scan documents, photos or clippings larger than A4 size. Documeents larger than A4 (Such as A3 or B4) or photos and clippings that can be damaged easily can be digitised when using the Carrier Sheets.
*Carrier Sheets (5 sheets per set) can be purchased separately. (The Carrier Sheet should be replaced approximately every 500 scans)
Benefits:
Efficient batch processing with 250-sheet feeder and 190cpm scanning speedMinimise errors with reliable character recognition including simultaneous magnetic ink (MICR) and optical (OCR) reading.
Maintain accuracy with one-button-cheque-stack alignment using the built-in jogger unitPrint endorsements while scanning with the built-in imprinter
Processing efficiency:
Improve cheque, vouchers and coupons processing efficiency with one device combing stack alignment, scanning, MICR reading, endorsement printing and sorting operations.
Versatile, high-speed scanning:
Enjoy fast, efficient and reliable batch scanning of cheques, vouchers and coupons with the Canon imageFORMULA CR-190i II. Banks and retailers will find its accurate scanning, at speeds of up to 190 cheques per minute, offers a great way to increase productivity in back office workflows.
Convenient one-button cheque alignment:
Save the time of manually aligning batches of cheques prior to scanning, or the cost of a separate unit, with the built-in cheque jogger. It aligns cheques in the CR-190i II’s feeder before scanning, ensure that all your MICR data is ready accurately.
Precise MICR reading:
You’re assured that cheque data will be read correctly first time, with 99.999% read accuracy, thanks to the scanner’s Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) supported by simultaneous Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
Advanced image processing:
Capture both printed and handwritten text accurately every time. Fine Text Filtering technology significantly reduces unwanted noise from patterned document background colours or images.
Reliable feeding:
Reduce misreading and omissions with the high capacity 250-sheet document feeder that offers ultrasonic double feed detection. To keep your workflows even more efficient, scanned cheques can be sorted into three output pockets, based on MICR and OCR data.
Effortless imprinting:
Quickly and easily print endorsement on the back of cheques while scanning using the built-in imprinter. Up to four 48-character lines of text, as well as bitmap images, can be printed in high quality in just a single motion, helping you sustain a high standard of productivity.
Three Pocket Sorting:
Scanned cheques can be automatically sorted based on MICR and OCR data (application support required) between three available pockets. Two of them can hold 200 and third one 50 cheques.
Simple integration:
Easily integrate with a range of scanning applications using the bundled software drivers: Canon Scanning Utility. Canon ISIS/TWAIN driver and a driver based on Silver Bullet Technology’s Ranger Transport API software. Application developers can take advantage of the SDK to create custom capabilities.
